Landscaping, Garden Design and Tree Surgery are also our speciality services, creating a clean flowing natural landscape in your garden which can be enjoyed by your family and friends.Having landscaped numerous gardens, large and small, we have both the experience and innovation to design and create a landscape which suits your needs and your budget. Different families have differing needs and with our help, you can have a beautifully landscaped garden which is not only aesthetically pleasing, but safe for both young children to play freely and for those with special mobility needs.
Landscapes & Garden Design. From a design to creating a complete new garden or just making a few changes, we will be able to advise you on adding decking, patios, water features, path ways raised bedding, low maintenance gardens, lighting, or any ideas or themes you have. Whether you want to improve an established garden, or have a brand new garden and don't know where to start, or just want a complete start again we can produce an garden design for it, taking your lifestyle, needs and gardening capabilities into consideration. Our aim is to make your garden part of your home.
Tree Surgeon & ArboricultureWe undertake all aspects of tree surgery including limb removal, crown thinning and shaping, crown lifting and of course, tree felling. We can also transplant a tree, moving it from one part of your garden to another, plant trees and advise on which trees are most suited to your garden. A fundamental part of tree surgery is ensuring your property is safe from any trees which surround it. It's better to be safe than sorry so if you're unsure of how your trees will fair in the next storm, please contact us for a tree survey. We can clear up and remove fallen limbs, branches or entire trees after storm damage. We can also trim roots which may be threatening your foundations. If you're looking for a tree surgeon in Sussex, contact us today!
The Garden Design Process. To get the landscaping process started, we would start with a free consultation visit to your garden to discuss your garden design ideas and requirements. After taking basic measurements of your garden, we will discuss whether you want the full garden landscaped, or just certain areas of it. We offer advice on layout and materials which would best suit both your needs, and your budget. A series of basic outline plans would be drawn up, from which you can select your preferred landscaping design of your potential new garden. In the past, we've had clients who've drawn up their own landscape design prior to contacting us, as well as clients who've happily left the entire landscape design and build in our capable hands.Garden Clearance & GroundworkMany of our landscaping projects start with extensive groundwork and garden clearance. This involves stripping away everything that isn't wanted, including bushes, shrubs and turf. Existing trees, bushes and hedgerows which are to be kept can be shaped and pruned as part of or tree surgery service. Drainage, plumbing and electrics are then laid (where necessary) prior to commencing the landscaping.PlantingMost people want to make the most of their garden, however we are fully aware that not everybody has a green thumb. We can design a garden landscape which requires the minimum of maintenance if you require, or for those who want a more 'hands on' garden, we can offer advice on the planting scheme which is best suited to your gardens location and orientation. You may want to draw up your own planting plan and we can design a landscape to complement your preferred plants, shrubs and trees. Alternatively, we can design the planting scheme, and purchase and plant them on your behalf.DeckingTimber decking is an increasingly fashionable addition to the garden. Whether you wish to recover an existing structure, or lay a new patio with decking, we are able to help and advise you. Unlike a stone patio, wood decking does not require extensive digging for foundations and support. Therefore disturbance to your well-tended garden is minimal. Decking is easily laid over your existing lawn or patio. The ground is treated before an impenetrable membrane is laid to prevent further weed and plant growth. On some projects for a more natural look we use recycled timber (such as railway sleepers) for retaining walls and the base framework.PatiosThere is a wide range of brick and stone paving which can be laid to instantly conjure up the look of yesteryear. Alternatively, more modern decorative paving stones in various colours, shapes and textures provide the opportunity to create a more contemporary look. You can create truly inspirational and individual designs by mixing different paving products together. You can also enhance your chosen paving with bands of small, vibrantly coloured clay cobbles or natural stone sets. Introducing contrasting yet complementary paving shapes, colours, sizes and textures will add that extra little something special!WaterSimple water features can be very effective, or for the more ambitious; split-level water features with waterfalls etc. For those with plenty of space, how about a fish pond or even a small lake? We are happy to assist you in making the right choices when designing a garden pond or adding a water feature with advice concerning safety, information on pumps & filters, pond plants and aquatic life. For more pictures of some of our garden landscape projects, before & after, see our landscaping gallery. |
